, July 24/Radio Sputnik. A man started shooting at police officers in the village of Balandino, in the Volkhovsky district of the Leningrad region, after law enforcement officers found his drug lab, according to the press service of the GUMVD of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
“In the Leningrad region, the police liquidated the drug laboratory. During the operation, the drug dealer opened fire on the police”, – officials said from the press service, quoted by RIA Novosti.
It should be noted that the drug laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs was located in a barn in the garden.
Seeing the police, the lab organizer, a 45-year-old resident of the Krasnogvardeisky district of St. Petersburg, fled from the barn and hid in a residential building. 39; assailant, armed with a sawed-off shotgun, opened fire on the police, “GUMVD added.
A policeman neutralized the assailant, injuring his leg.
Several other gun units suitable for shooting were found in the house. In the barn, officers found laboratory equipment and chemical raw materials for the production of mephedrone.
