A man armed with a knife attacked policemen from the Consolidated Detachment of the Interior Ministry at a post fixed in Grozny, the press service of the Investigative Committee for Chechnya reported.
The incident happened around 5.35 p.m. at the entrance to the Visaitovsky district of the capital of the republic. “In order to suppress the criminal actions of the attacker, the police used a service weapon, as a result of which the man was injured and hospitalized in a hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries, ”the department added.
It should be noted that the employees of the Ministry of the Interior were not injured.
The attacker was identified as a resident of Grozny, born in 1993.
