“Confused address”: what the Nizhny Novgorod taxi driver did with his passenger

The prosecution required 12 years of prison, but the district court reclassified the article and issued a verdict: one year and ten months of restriction of liberty. Relatives of the deceased categorically disagree with this.

On the evening of November 7, 2019, businessman Sergei Zakharov was visiting – celebrating his birthday. Around midnight I got down to business. was about to go home and I asked é to my acquaintances to call a taxi. The drunken friends did not hear the address – instead of Shnitnikov Street, they entered Shtemenko Street in the annex.

Zakharov was also drunk, dozing on the way, so he didn't notice he was being taken to the other end of town by a completely unknown road. Arrived at the place, the taxi driver woke the passenger up and asked him to pay.
