A young man hijacked a foreign car and crashed trying to hide from the police, Yamal Media reports with reference to the State Regional Traffic Inspectorate.
The drama occurred on Wednesday night in the city from Noyabrsk. The man was driving a stolen Kia car and decided to speed up when he noticed a passing police car.
As a result, the 20-year-old hijacker lost control and crashed into a pole. The blow was so strong that the driver flew out of the cockpit. The victim died instantly from his injuries.
In the spring, Sputnik Radio reported that a reckless drunk driver crashed into patrol cars in Primorye, unwilling to surrender to the police. In order to apprehend the assailant, the traffic police were forced to shoot the wheels of the bus which he hijacked.
