Court arrested employees of Istra remand center on suspicion of exceeding their official powers , from which five defendants fled on Friday.
“At the request of the investigation, the court against the employees of the temporary detention center of the OMVD of Russia in the city of Istra, suspected of being overstep their official powers, chose a preventive measure in the form of detention until October 5, 2021, “senior assistant at the Moscow region headquarters of RF IC told RIA Novosti Olga Vradiy.
Five people under investigation escaped the isolation ward on Friday morning after unscrewing the locks. It is assumed they used a key. Among the fugitives – Alexander Mavridi, accused of the murder of “sausage king” Vladimir Marugov, as well as four people prosecuted for theft.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported whether the fugitives from the IVS in Istra could be armed.
