& # 34; I was in the hospital for a week, Nikolay continues. – Of course, the neighborhood therapist was shocked by the diagnosis at the discharge: & # 34; trauma after a lightning strike '. She had no idea how to treat me '.
However, no special therapy was needed. Neither the MRI of the head, nor the x-ray, nor the cardiogram revealed any abnormalities. The only thing is that the hearing has deteriorated due to damage to the eardrum.

“Everything is fine, but in a day or two – clinical death”
Several thousand people die from lightning every year. There aren't any statistics on survivors, but it doesn't happen often.
& # 34; Everything is very individual, it depends on the body and where the person was: in a dry or humid environment & # 34 ;, – explains the head of the operational expedition service of the Center of Medicine of disaster in the Moscow region, resuscitator Sergei Emelyanov.
However, there is a model. For example, depending on the interviewer, the chances of survival are greater if the discharge passes along the right side of the body. “If on the left, the heart is affected, usually fatal.”
Burns and cramps possible. A lightning strike can lead to paralysis, deafness and dumbness.
