The Department of Emergency Situations showed a video of the search for the An-26 aircraft which was 39; crashed in Kamchatka. The images were published by REN TV.
The video taken from the search helicopter shows a rock that the plane crashed into while landing. The wreckage of the An-26 scattered after the collision was also captured in the frame.
The plane disappeared from radar this morning, nine kilometers from the village of Palana, where it was heading from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. There were 28 people on board: six crew members and 22 passengers, including two minors and the head of Palana, Olga Mokhireva. According to preliminary data, there are no survivors.
The United Kingdom is considering several versions of the crash: unfavorable weather conditions, technical malfunction or piloting error. A criminal case has been opened.
